Analysis of the Thinking Process – How Our Mind Works

Analyzing what you are doing 

You can not achieve any progress in life, unless you understand and analyze what you are doing. Analysis is used in research to identify a variable that can be manipulated so that the outcome of a certain experiment can be changed. For example, an experiment is conducted to determine if a person is able to hypnotize himself when he is given the cue word “place”.

The subject is positioned in a familiar environment and is asked to relax his body and mind. Then he is exposed to a series of visual and auditory cues. An expert is present and uses his state of consciousness techniques to manipulate the subject into a hypnotic trance. The goal here is to determine if the person can change his own behavior, or if he will respond to the manipulations with his unconscious mind. Once the experts master this art, they can shape the beliefs and behaviors of other people too!

The second phase of Analysis of the thinking process deals with consciously choosing your own thoughts. This is known as the reflective stage. During this stage, you should be observing your internal dialogue. You are looking to discover your own internal dialogue, and the thoughts that you entertain regarding your targets behavior. You can use a tape recorder to listen in to yourself, or even play back a recording of your own thoughts.

Conscious decisions

Analyzing the conscious decisions we make during the day is also important. What are my priorities? What are my goals? What should I have more of, and what are my most urgent needs? These are just some of the questions you need to ask yourself while you are deciding what you would like to do. Often we make conscious decisions, but subconsciously we choose our actions.

When we decide to buy a product, rent an apartment, or get insurance, these are all choices we make consciously. We may not even be aware of it, but we do it. However, when we make decisions unconsciously, it is much harder to change our behavior. If we don’t want to rent an apartment, we wouldn’t go out and search for one. Similarly, if we don’t want to buy a particular product, we wouldn’t even notice that it exists.

Subconscious decisions

This is where analysis of the subconscious comes in. Answering the question of how we decide our conscious and unconscious decisions is simply analyzing the language we use. Each individual has their own unique set of words, which form the foundation of their thought patterns. Understanding how and why we use these words is the key to changing one’s behavior.

A common example is when we say, “I need a new brush.” What we are actually saying is, “I need a new haircut.” If we analyzed this statement, we would find that the word “brush” has a negative connotation while the word “shave” has a positive meaning. Analyzing these two words and replacing them with the opposite word (hair-brush-shave) will help change the way we behave because “consciously” we will choose a different behavior.

Another example would be when we eat an ice cream cone. We consciously make the decision to eat an ice cream cone, but our subconscious mind doesn’t know any better. The reason for this is that the flavor of the ice cream is so strong that it overwhelms our conscious mind with all the deliciousness of the cone. Changing the decision to eat the ice cream will not only change the behavior, but also change the ways we think because our subconscious will guide us to the right choice.

In Conclusion

If you want to know how to control your thoughts and actions, it’s important that you understand the process that goes through in our mind. To control our thinking, we need to learn what goes on in there and how to interrupt the thinking process if we want to be successful at anything. Thinking isn’t something we do naturally. We often have to learn the process of thinking before we can use it for our own benefit.

  1. Everyone has models of interpretation, from an educational point of view having them means identifying the purpose of one’s own action.

  2. Knowing your own interpretative models allows you to understand the reason for your educational and didactic choices.

  3. I would also add that one’s make them flexible, adapt them to situations, enrich them through learning and comparison with others.

  4. A mind troubled by its own thought and emotional processes encounters greater difficulties in managing the events of Reality.

  5. In solving problems in some cases, it depends from person to person, our way of thinking and ruminating thoughts, can make even the simplest thing become a problem.
