However, eating chocolate is a wonderful source of magnesium and other minerals such as potassium.

Hot chili peppers contain capsaicin, which also increases the amount of acid in the stomach. In order to neutralize the effect of the capsaicin, drink a glass of ginger ale or lemonade. Many people believe that drinking grapefruit juice before bedtime relieves acid indigestion symptoms. If this is a sound strategy, you should eat dinner with this particular beverage to avoid heartburn in the morning.

  1. Since we are only talking about what to avoid, here are the foods that have proved useful to relieve the symptoms of gastritis and stomach acid, there are: carrots, potatoes, ginger, oats, bananas , fennel, melon, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, celery, parsley, rice and pasta with oil.

  2. My doctor just told me that my pain comes mainly from stress, it’s called gastritis.

  3. Heartburn or even reflux, is described as burning in the sternum, so not really in the stomach but almost on the chest … while gastritis affects the lower part (the tummy).
