Cleaning the fridge

Bacteria in the refrigerator can cause serious health problems and as a result should be eliminated as soon as possible. Most people are unaware of the risks that they may be exposing themselves to by allowing these bacteria to get out of control.

Refrigerators come with special bacteria traps designed to prevent unwanted bacteria from entering the fridge. These bacteria traps are not only important for cleaning purposes, but they also have very important health benefits as well. When the bacteria trap is in place it will serve as a “guard” around the food and beverages inside the fridge. This prevents the entrance of unwanted bacteria and thus provides a barrier to prevent further contamination.

Bacteria in the refrigerator are responsible for a number of issues, and this is one of the biggest reasons why it is very important to maintain them in good working order. They are the main culprit behind spoilage, as well as the reason why food goes bad much faster than it would if it were not stored in a “dirty” fridge.

Bacteria in the fridge can also cause or be the potential threat for the growth of other harmful bacteria in the kitchen, which is why it is so important to keep them under control.

In order to completely eliminate bacteria in the refrigerator, it is best to kill them naturally. There are several different methods that are available to accomplish this, the best method is the least expensive, and also the most effective method to date.

One way to kill bacteria is by treating the outside of the fridge. This will kill any bacteria that may be left inside and will prevent any more bacteria from getting into the fridge.

If the bacteria have gotten to the point where they have spread into the walls, and into the cabinets and into the cabinets underneath the fridge, then the best option is to run hot water through the kitchen sink water dispenser. Hot water kills the bacteria in the growing in the refrigerator, which means that it kills the bacteria inside of the fridge as well. By killing the bacteria naturally, you can protect your foods from further contamination.

The most important thing is to make sure that you remove the bacteria and any remaining food from the fridge before the end of the day. If you wait until the following day, then the bacteria will have a chance to grow and infect more areas of the fridge, making it even harder to eliminate.

In Conclusion:

By eliminating the bacteria in the refrigerator, you will be helping yourself, your family, and your guests. By reducing the risk of illness, you will also be saving money on unnecessary medical bills, and the fridge will be in perfect condition for a longer.

  1. Bacteria such as e.coli, salmonella and listeria lurk in the refrigerator mainly due to leftover food and vegetables in the crate. Experts, therefore, advise to give a pass each week to shelves and drawers, while every three months a deeper cleaning should be carried out using a specific detergent and warm soapy water. It is important to remember to also clean the filter, gaskets and handles.

    1. You should probably be careful not to keep the stuff in the fridge for more than two or three days, except, of course, in the freezer section.

        1. Proper storage is important, not only for our health, but also to ensure the organoleptic properties of the food itself.

          1. Keep cheeses in airtight containers to prevent ‘molds’ from being free to circulate.

            1. I keep both the meat and the fish in vacuum bags, not only for the marinade, it keeps it longer.

              1. Advice for vegetables: WASH IT FIRST, to dry it just put it in the oven at very low temperature and with the fan on.

                1. In summer, with high temperatures, it is essential to store food properly. It is also advisable to carry out periodic checks to be sure that your fridge is operating at the right temperatures.

  2. Home food management (hygiene of the home environment, preparation and storage of food) should not be underestimated because, from the moment of purchase, food safety depends on us.

    1. Watch out for the difference between the two words !. “To be consumed by …” is usually used for foods that degrade easily and must be consumed by the date indicated. “To be consumed preferably by …” indicates how long the food can be consumed without any risk.

      1. To best preserve the aroma and freshness of the food, it is advisable to wrap it in aluminum foil or place it in suitable containers.

        1. I studied in England and to pay my living I worked in restaurants. Here is what the English teach us in the kitchen and in the refrigerator. Keep everything in fridge containers and do not mix cooked/raw or meat/fish or vegetable/fruit/diaries. In addition, apply on all the lids of the airtight containers a label with the date it was put in the fridge and from there it is easy to calculate the three days (labels are the type that can be easily removable)

          1. It is good practice to keep the food in its original packaging, especially if it contains useful information for storage, or in any case in clean and airtight containers.
